NTA has officially released the notification for the UGC-NET June 2026 session and started the online registration process. UGC-NET determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships, Assistant Professor appointments, and Ph.D. admissions across 87 subjects. Submit your applications through the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in by May 20, 2026. The examination is scheduled to be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode between June 22 and 30, 2026. Use Aadhaar verification during the application. All official communications regarding the exam city announcement (expected by June 10) and admit cards (expected by June 15) will be sent through your Gmail and phone number. For convenience, the Meri Pehchan single sign-on service is also available for the registration process.
To clear the examination, you must appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 individually. Qualifying in only one will result in an overall failure. Paper 1 serves as a general aptitude test, focusing on teaching and research capabilities, logical reasoning, reading comprehension, and communication skills. Review the eligibility criteria thoroughly before beginning your registration.
