The official provisional answer key for NEET UG 2026 is live. Students who identify discrepancies can challenge the key by logging into the NTA portal, selecting the disputed question IDs, and paying a processing fee of INR 200 per objection.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully administered the NEET UG 2026 on May 3, recording a remarkable 96.92% attendance rate with over 22 lakh aspirants participating across 37 States and UTs. The provisional answer keys for codes 11, 12, 13, and 14 are released on the official NTA website. While the keys are available, the window to challenge them will only open once the scanned OMR Answer Sheets are uploaded. The NTA will announce the specific schedule for this challenge round in a separate notification. Preliminary reports characterize the examination as moderate in difficulty, though many students noted that the lengthy nature of the questions made it quite time-consuming to finish.
Experts suggest that the combination of a moderate difficulty level and high student participation may drive the 2026 cutoff scores upward, with estimates for the Unreserved category hovering around 160–165 mark. Despite this subject-wise variation, the significant addition of approximately 11,000 MBBS seats this year is expected to keep the qualifying cutoff highly competitive.
