Every section of CLAT 2026 has a different weightage and distribution of questions. The exam is a mandatory national-level law entrance test for admission to top NLUs and is scheduled to be held in an offline pen-and-paper mode on December 7, 2025, between 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Check the format again before the exam.

CLAT UG 2026 consists of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. CLAT 2026 questions will be divided across five subjects: English Language, Current Affairs, including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques. The exam patten remains the same as before, take a look at it.
