The AILET 2026 merit list is set for release alongside the official result declaration. Published in successive rounds. The list is determined by the one’s total entrance score, the category-specific cut-offs and seat availability. During evaluation, a tie-breaking policy prioritizes candidates with higher marks in the Logical Reasoning section, followed by seniority in age. Read more below.

National Law University (NLU) Delhi is expected to announce the AILET 2026 Result and publish the Final Answer Key today on its official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Following the AILET 2026 exam conducted on December 14, 2025, the university provided a window for objections against the provisional key until December 16.

Once the final results are live, you can log in to view their scores and All India Ranks (AIR). Please note that no further challenges will be entertained against the final answer key. To estimate your final score using the answer key, apply the official marking criteria. For every correct response you'll get +1 mark. However, the AILET 2026 exam incorporates a negative marking system where 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are added or subtracted for questions left unattempted.

Once the AILET 2026 results are announced, follow these instructions to download the official merit list:

Step 1: Go to the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in and click on the AILET 2026 tab.
Step 2: Find the "Notifications" or "Latest Updates" section on the dashboard.
Step 3: Click the specific link for the AILET 2026 Merit List corresponding to your program (BA LLB/LLM/Ph.D.).
Step 4: The list will open in a new window; click the download icon to save the PDF for future reference during the admission process.

AILET 2026 Merit List Details

The merit list serves as the primary filter for subsequent counseling rounds. Below is a breakdown of how this information is organized:

AILET 2026 Cut-Off Marks -Expected

The AILET 2026 cut-off represents the minimum score required to secure a seat at NLU Delhi. The cut-off marks for various categories which are expected are as follows:

Following the result declaration, you must meet these academic requirements to participate in the counselling process:

For BA LLB (Hons.):

Academic: Must have passed or be appearing for Class 12 exams.
Minimum Marks: 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/PwD).

For LLM:

Academic: Completion of an LLB or equivalent degree.
Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
