The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the provisional NCET 2026 answer key on 28 April 2026 through its official website. Along with the provisional answer key, NTA also published the question paper, recorded responses, and individual candidate response sheets for candidates who appeared in the examination. Around 73,608 candidates appeared for the NCET 2026 exam conducted on 17 and 18 April 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

The challenge window for the provisional answer key remained active from 28 April to 30 April 2026 till 11:50 PM. NTA is currently reviewing the objections submitted by candidates, and the NCET Final Answer Key 2026 is expected to be released in May 2026, followed by the official scorecard announcement.

  • Step 1: Access your candidate profile at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET/.
  • Step 2: Click on the “NCET 2026 Answer Key” link from the homepage.
  • Step 3: Enter your unique application number, password, and captcha security pin to log in.
  • Step 4: Once logged into the candidate dashboard, click on 'View Answer Key / Response Sheet' to open the PDF.
  • Step 5: Save a copy of the NCET 2026 provisional answer key and response sheet on your device for score calculation.

How Can You Challenge NCET 2026 Provisional Answer Key?

You can raise objections against the NCET provisional answer key by following the steps given below.

  • Step 1: Access your candidate profile at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET/.
  • Step 2: Click on the “Raise Objection” link available on the homepage.
  • Step 3: Log in using your Application ID, password/date of birth, and captcha code.
  • Step 4: Click on the “Apply for NCET Answer Key Challenge” option.
  • Step 5: Sign in and open the page containing the question paper and answer key.
  • Step 6: The screen displays sequential Question IDs for Languages, Domain Subjects, Teaching Aptitude, and General Test sections. Select the specific Question ID you want to challenge.
  • Step 7: Upload the supporting document or written proof for the objection.
  • Step 8: Click on the “Submit” button.
  • Step 9: Pay the objection fee of INR 200 per question through online mode.
  • Step 10: Download and print the fee receipt and confirmation page for future reference.

Note: If a challenge is found universally valid by NTA's panel of independent experts, the answer key is revised uniformly for all candidates who attempted that specific question version. Individual acceptance or rejection status is not explicitly communicated to the applicant.

What Is the NCET 2026 Marking Scheme?

You can estimate your probable NCET 2026 score manually by using the official marking scheme and answer key.

  • Each correct answer will carry 4 marks.
  • 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • No marks will be cut for unanswered questions.
  • If more than one option is found correct, marks will be awarded according to NTA rules.
