What Is the SNAP 2026 Application Fee?
SNAP 2026 involves two separate payments. The first covers the SNAP test, while the second applies to each MBA programme you choose.
SNAP 2026 Fee Structure
| Fee Type | Amount |
| SNAP Test Fee | ₹2,550 per test |
| MBA Programme Registration | ₹1,000 per programme |
| Government Taxes | Applicable as prescribed |
Both payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Do You Have to Pay the Programme Fee Separately?
Yes. The SNAP test fee covers your registration for the entrance test. It does not include the registration charge for an MBA programme.
If you select more than one MBA programme, the ₹1,000 programme registration fee applies separately to each one.
For example:
| Selection | Fee Before Applicable Taxes |
| 1 SNAP test + 1 MBA programme | ₹3,550 |
| 1 SNAP test + 2 MBA programmes | ₹4,550 |
| 2 SNAP tests + 2 MBA programmes | ₹7,100 |
So, before completing your payment, check both parts of your application: the SNAP test registration and the MBA programme registration. Paying only the test fee will not make you eligible for shortlisting for a programme you have selected.
What Is the SNAP 2026 Exam Pattern?
The SNAP 2026 paper consists of 60 objective questions divided across four sections. Each correct response carries one mark.
| Section | Questions | Marks per Correct Answer | Total Marks |
| General English | 10 | 1 | 10 |
| Analytical & Logical Reasoning | 20 | 1 | 20 |
| Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency | 20 | 1 | 20 |
| Ethics, Morality and Values | 10 | 1 | 10 |
| Total | 60 | 1 | 60 |
SNAP 2026 Marking Scheme
| Response | Marks |
| Correct answer | +1 |
| Wrong answer | -0.25 |
| Unanswered | 0 |
A 0.25 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer, as SNAP follows a 25% negative marking scheme. Each question carries one mark.
The test is objective in nature, with four options for each question. Candidates can choose the order in which they attempt the four sections.
What Is New in the SNAP 2026 Exam Pattern?
SNAP 2026 is divided into four sections, including a separate section on Ethics, Morality and Values.
This is different from the older SNAP structure that candidates may find on outdated preparation pages.
| SNAP 2026 Section | Questions | Share of 60 Marks |
| General English | 10 | 16.67% |
| Analytical & Logical Reasoning | 20 | 33.33% |
| Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency | 20 | 33.33% |
| Ethics, Morality and Values | 10 | 16.67% |
| Total | 60 | 100% |
These percentages show the distribution of questions and marks within the SNAP test. They are not the final admission selection weightage.

What Is the SNAP 2026 Eligibility Criteria?
The eligibility requirements can differ across SNAP-accepting MBA programmes. For most programmes, applicants need a graduation degree from a recognised university or Institution of National Importance, with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade.

SNAP 2026 Test Cities in West Bengal
You can choose from Asansol, Kalyani - Hooghly, Kolkata and Siliguri as SNAP 2026 test cities in West Bengal.
Test city and test date allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you pay the SNAP registration fee, SIU will not entertain requests to change the test city or test date.
SIU may add, remove or change test cities due to unavoidable circumstances. If your preferred city is unavailable, the university may allot another city, including a nearby city in exceptional circumstances.
How Are SNAP 2026 Test City and Date Allotted?
You should decide which SNAP tests you want to take before completing registration because test-centre capacity is limited.
The earlier you complete the payment, the better your chances of getting your preferred test date and city. However, your preferred city is not guaranteed. SIU reserves the right to allot another city if the requested city is unavailable.
The exact test timing, test centre and address will be printed on your admit card.
What is the SNAP 2026 Selection Process?
The SNAP 2026 selection process does not end with the entrance test. Candidates shortlisted by the respective Symbiosis institutes must take part in the further admission rounds before the final merit list is prepared.
The selection process includes:
- SNAP Test: Candidates first appear for SNAP 2026 and receive their overall score and percentile.
- Programme-wise Shortlisting: Each institute shortlists candidates for its MBA programme based on the applicable admission criteria and SNAP percentile.
- Group Exercise (GE): Shortlisted candidates participate in the Group Exercise conducted by the respective institute.
- Personal Interaction (PI): Candidates also appear for the Personal Interaction round.
- Final Merit List: The institute considers the applicable selection components to prepare the final merit list.
| Selection Component | Weightage |
| SNAP Score | 50 marks |
| Group Exercise (GE) | 10 marks |
| Personal Interaction (PI) | 40 marks |
| Total | 100 marks |
The SNAP score is scaled from 60 marks to 50 marks for the final merit calculation. Therefore, a good SNAP score is important, but it does not guarantee final admission. Your programme eligibility and performance in GE and PI also contribute to the final selection.
Is There a Common SNAP 2026 Cutoff for All Institutes?
No. There is no single cutoff that applies equally to every SNAP-accepting MBA programme. Each institute and programme can have its own shortlisting requirements. Your chances of receiving a shortlist depend on factors such as your overall SNAP percentile, programme eligibility and the institute's selection criteria.
Therefore, candidates should avoid treating one expected percentile as a guaranteed cutoff for every Symbiosis MBA programme.

When Will the SNAP 2026 Result Be Declared?
The SNAP 2026 result will be announced on January 12, 2027.
Candidates who appear for SNAP can access their scorecard through the official SNAP website. SIU states that the SNAP 2026 score will be valid for admission to selected programmes for the 2027–28 academic year.
The score published by SIU is final and is not subject to appeal or revaluation.
For Detailed information, check SNAP Result 2026 Page
Is There a SNAP 2026 Answer Key?
Candidates should not treat answer keys published by coaching institutes or other websites as official SNAP answer keys.
The official SNAP information states that SIU-published scores are final and are not subject to appeal or revaluation. Therefore, any unofficial memory-based answer key should be used only as a reference and not as an official score document.

How to Prepare for SNAP 2026: StudyRiserr’s Advice
SNAP gives you only 60 minutes to answer 60 questions. Your preparation should therefore focus on accuracy, speed and question selection rather than only completing the syllabus.
SNAP 2026 Preparation Strategy
| Area | What You Should Focus On |
| General English | Build vocabulary, grammar and reading skills |
| Analytical & Logical Reasoning | Practise different reasoning formats and improve solving speed |
| Quantitative, DI & Data Sufficiency | Strengthen calculations and practise timed problem-solving |
| Ethics, Morality and Values | Understand value-based situations and practise relevant questions |
| Mock Tests | Take full-length 60-minute tests and analyse your mistakes |
How Should You Use the Three SNAP Attempts?
If you plan to take all three tests, do not treat them as three completely separate exams.
Use your first attempt to evaluate your speed, accuracy and question selection. Review the mistakes carefully and use the remaining attempts to improve your overall performance. Since SIU considers the highest score and does not normalise scores, your strongest attempt will be used for the final percentile calculation.
What Should You Remember on SNAP 2026 Exam Day?
A few simple checks can help you avoid problems at the test centre.
SNAP 2026 Exam-Day Checklist
