Contingency Grant
The contingency grants are as follows:
- Duration: Granted to resident Indian scholars for up to 4.5 years.
- Annual Contingency Grant:
- INR 10,000 per annum for Year I & II.
- INR 15,000 per annum for Year III & IV.
- It can be used for books, stationery, computer hardware, software, etc.
- One-time Computer Purchase Grant: INR 50,000, available before the end of coursework.
Conference Support
IIM Lucknow also offers conference support to PhD students. The details of the financial support are as follows:
- Total Grant Amount: INR 1,40,000 to INR 1,60,000, based on CGPA.
- International Conference: Funding is available for one conference after submitting the thesis proposal.
- Domestic Conferences:
- One domestic conference in Year III.
- One domestic conference in Year IV.
- Additional Travel Grant: INR 10,000 in Year III or IV for attending:
- A Domestic Doctoral Consortium, OR
- The Annual Inter-IIM Doctoral Consortium/Doctoral Consortia organized by IIMs/IISc/IGIDR.
Miscellaneous Financial Support
Apart from these, students are also eligible for other financial supports such as:
- Membership Fee Reimbursement: Covers one national and one international annual membership fee (scholar/ student rates) in Year III & IV.
- Research Expense Reimbursement: Up to INR 50,000 for travel, boarding, lodging, and local conveyance related to case-writing and field-based research in Year III & IV.
- Additional Support for Married Scholars:
- Family health insurance of INR 1,00,000 for the candidate, spouse, and two children.
- The insurance premium of INR 1,00,000 for this cover is fully reimbursed by the institute.
