The University of Calicut was established in 1968 as the second university in Kerala. The university has a total of 406 affiliated colleges. It has 34 academic departments and is accredited with a NAAC ‘A+’ Grade.

Admission to the University of Calicut is conducted online through the official portal. The university offers UG, PG, B.Voc, and M.Voc degrees. For UG courses, candidates need at least 10+2 qualifications, and for PG courses, a graduation degree is mandatory. Admission to most courses is based on the Calicut University Centralized Entrance Test (CUCET), and aspirants must also participate in centralized counselling. MBA candidates can also apply using entrance exam scores such as KMAT, CAT, and CMAT exams.

University of Calicut UG Admission

Candidates applying for UG courses will be only admitted through University's CAP registration. All students seeking admission to Merit/ Management seats must apply online and submit a printout of the application to the designated department/ centre/ college at the time of admission. The steps of registration are given below:

• Firstly, aspirants need to create a CAP ID to start the registration from the portal https://admission.uoc.ac.in/.
• Click on the ‘Click Here/Apply Now’ button in this window.
• For Cap ID Generation enter the mobile number/email ID of the applicant/ applicant's parents/ guardian only. Note that applicants will not be able to edit the information provided on this page at any other time.
• Then, complete the mobile number verification by entering the 6-digit OTP.
• After that, candidates will receive a message with the CAP ID and Security key for further registration. Note that the CAP ID and Security key should be kept safe as they will be used for all registration/ allotment related purposes.
• Then, log in and start registration by clicking on the Login.
• Fill in the basic information in the blank columns by following the instructions given in the window.
• Then upload photos in jpg format.
• Then, enter academic information including the marks.
• Next, applicants should record the college and the course. Ensure that all the information entered is correct. If there are any corrections, click on the Previous button or the menu above and make the necessary changes.
• After confirming that all the information is correct, candidates can proceed with payment. Aspirants can select any of the available methods to pay the fees online.
• After making payment through State Bank Online/Payment Gateway, after a specified time, applicants will be returned to the completed application window. Select the print option and take a printout of the application and keep it.

Note: Those who have paid the fee through other means should log in using their CAP ID and Security Key before the last date for submission of application and take a printout of the completed application.

• After paying the fee, log in again and download or take a printout of the application and keep it. Note that there is no need to send a copy of the application to the university.

University of Calicut MBA Admission

The details of University of Calicut MBA Admission are given below:

• Verify mobile number using OTP by creating a CAP ID through the “New User (Create CAP ID)” link on the MBA 2025 registration page.
• Enter basic details and additional PG details, after which the CAP ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number.
• Log in using CAP ID and password, complete registration by entering required data.
• Then select reservation category carefully and click “Finalise & Proceed to Payment.”
• Pay the application fee (INR 920 for General and all additional PG candidates; INR 310 for SC/ST candidates).
• Applicants can make payment through the Calicut University Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) and download the application printout after the payment.
• Aspirants can use the CAP ID in all future communications during University of Calicut admission.
