Visvesvaraya Technological University or VTU Karnataka is a Public university established in 1998, and this is one of the largest Technical institutes in the country. The college is approved with UGC and AICTE. VTU Karnataka has 25 autonomous colleges, 1 constituent college, and 182 affiliated colleges with PG programs in 96 disciplines, UG programs in 37 disciplines and M.Sc, and Ph.D research programs with 7 faculties.

The university was certified with "B++" grade from NAAC, and it’s a member of Association of Indian Universities. This is the first university that took innovative steps towards examination system using the digital evaluation process.

Visvesvaraya Technological University offers programs to more than 3 lakh students, and the flagship course is B.Tech with 23 specializations, 57 specializations for M.Tech and MBA. Admission to B.Tech is based on JEE Main/  KMAT tests. M.Arch and M.Tech admission are based on PGCET and GATE exams. Also, The Ph.D entrance is based on entrance test and interviews.
