The JEE Main examination utilized Computer-Based Testing (CBT) across 319 cities globally. To maintain the highest standards of integrity, the NTA implemented advanced security measures, including AI-driven facial recognition, 5G jammers, and mandatory e-KYC authentication. While the majority of results are now available, the agency has withheld the scores of 113 candidates due to unfair practices or documentation discrepancies.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully concluded the JEE MAIN 2026-27 academic cycle. Special provisions were made for candidates in the Middle East facing regional disruptions, and schedules were carefully coordinated with the CBSE to avoid conflicts with Board exams. While the majority of the 15,38,468 unique candidates who appeared across both sessions received their results based on their best performance, the NTA maintained a zero-tolerance policy toward misconduct as results for 113 individuals were withheld due to unfair practices or documentation discrepancies. Following a transparent review process involving provisional answer keys and subject expert verification, the final scores for Paper 1 are now available. results for B.Arch and B.Planning expected shortly.

Admission to India's premier engineering institutes follows two distinct routes via the JoSAA portal, which opens for registration on June 2. Track A is dedicated to IIT aspirants; only the top 2,50,000 qualifiers from JEE Main are eligible to sit for JEE Advanced, where their performance determines admission to the 23 IITs. Meanwhile, Track B facilitates entry into 98+ other prestigious institutions, including NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, based solely on the candidate's JEE Main All India Rank (AIR).
