IGNOU B. Ed Eligibility 2026
To apply for the B.Ed. program, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements set by IGNOU. The specific requirements are listed below:
- A minimum of 50% in a bachelor's or master's degree in the humanities, social sciences, sciences, or commerce.
- A minimum of 55% is required for a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with a focus on science and mathematics.
- Trained in-service teachers in elementary education are eligible.
- Aspirants who have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode can apply.
- A relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks is available for SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), and PwD candidates as per Central Government rules.
- Reservation is also applicable for EWS, Kashmiri Migrants, and War Widow candidates as per University and Government norms.
- A master's degree awarded without a first degree is not considered valid for IGNOU Admission.
