How to Apply for IGNOU MBA 2026?

IGNOU MBA registration process is conducted online, and candidates must follow the given steps to complete the process smoothly:

  • Step 1: Browse the official IGNOU admission portal at samarth.edu.in (foreign students must apply at ignouforeigniop.samarth.edu.in).
  • Step 2: Choose "New Registration", then enter your email address, mobile nmber and password.
  • Step 3: Log in using the registered credentials through "Registered User Login" and fill out the application form.
  • Step 4: Upload all necessary documents and carefully preview the form to avoid errors.
  • Step 5: Use a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI to pay the INR 300 registration fee and the program fee.
  • Step 6: Save the payment receipt or screenshot for later use.
  • Step 7: Track admission status from the student dashboard; confirmation will be sent via SMS and email.
  • Step 8: After successful admission eligible candidates may apply for scholarships through gov.in.

Note: Creating a DEB ID is mandatory before starting the application process.

The process is mainly online through ignou.ac.in or onlinerr.ignou.ac.in, while offline submission is allowed at regional centers if online mode is unavailable. For the second year of the MBA program, students need to pay INR 18,000 (including the project component). A late fee applies if the form is not submitted within the given timeline. Students must log in using their Enrollment Number and password to complete the procedure.
