The round 3 allotment is part of a five-stage counseling process for students seeking admission into 5-Year Integrated Law Programmes. Qualified candidates appearing on the rank list have until 1 PM on March 6, 2026, to exercise their "freeze" or "float" options and must ensure all required documents are ready for the admission formalities.

Regarding the counselling fee, those who do not secure a seat will receive a 100% refund. Those who exit the process after allotment or are found ineligible will receive a refund after specific deductions, including a INR 5,000 charge for ineligibility. The CLAT 2026 admission process continues through five initial rounds and a potential mop-up round for any remaining vacant seats. Must follow the next steps for seat acceptance or upgrades as per the official NLU allotment schedule if you are selected.

CLAT 2026: Next Steps and Procedures

Check what your next plan should be if you made it to the CLAT 2026 allotment list or not:

If Your Name is on the CLAT 2026 Merit List

If your name is on the list, you must act before the deadline. Ignoring this will lead to the automatic cancellation of your seat.

  • Select Your Option:
    • Freeze: Choose this to lock in your allotted NLU and exit further rounds.
    • Float: Secure your current seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade to a higher-preference NLU in future rounds.
    • Exit: Withdraw completely from the CLAT 2026 admission process and forfeit your seat.
  • Pay Confirmation Fee: If you select Freeze or Float, you must pay a non-refundable fee of INR 20,000 online by the deadline.
  • Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of your 10th/12th marksheets, CLAT admit card, scorecard, and relevant category certificates for verification.

If Your Name is NOT on the CLAT 2026 Merit List

If your name did not appear in the second merit list, your participation in the process continues automatically.

  • Wait for Round 4: You will be considered for the Fourth Allotment List, scheduled for release on May 2, 2026.
  • Refund Security: If you remain unallotted after the final fifth round on May 15, 2026, the Consortium will provide a full refund of your registration fee.
