UCEED, conducted annually by IIT Bombay, is the gateway for admission to B.Des programs at leading IITs, including Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur. The examination is scheduled for January 18, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
The regular registration window for UCEED 2026 is currently open at uceed.iitb.ac.in and is set to close on October 31, 2025. But you will get the chance to fill up the form by November 07, 2025 with a late fee of INR 500.
The UCEED registration is strictly an online process, requiring you to fill in the application form, select test centers, upload necessary documents, and pay the fee. There is no separate correction window available after, so you must verify all details carefully to avoid cancellation of candidature.

UCEED 2026 is a three-hour exam consisting of two parts: Part A (computer-based, objective) and Part B (pen-and-paper drawing/design aptitude). Only those who qualify in UCEED will be eligible to participate in the B.Des joint seat allocation process, the results of which are expected in March 2026.
IIT Bombay UCEED 2026 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility for UCEED 2026 registration is given below:
- You Must be born on or after October 1, 2001 (for OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL) and must be born on or after October 1, 1996 (for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Must have appeared for the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in either 2025 or 2026.
- You must be an Indian citizen (or OCI/PIO/Foreign national as per official rules).
