What are the Errors that can be Corrected by AILET 2025 Correction Window?

During the AILET 2026 application correction window, you will be allowed to edit a couple of details to rectify any errors or update information in your submitted application form.

Key Details That Can Be Changed

The following details are allowed to be corrected:

  • Personal Information: Your name, Date of Birth, Father's & Mother's Name, Gender and Religion.
  • Contact Details: Address, mobile number of parents, and email address (though the primary registered email ID itself cannot be changed).
  • Academic Information: Qualifying examination details, percentage/CGPA and details of the board/university.
  • Reservation Category: Changes to your category (e.g., General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, Kashmiri Migrant, J&K Resident).
  • Documents: Uploading a clear photograph or signature if the original submission was blurred or incorrect.
  • Test City Preference: Reordering or changing your preferences for the exam center from the listed cities.
  • Program Applied: The specific course (B.A.LL.B., LL.M., or Ph.D.) for which you are applying.

Details That Cannot Be Changed

Some critical details are fixed once the initial registration is complete and cannot be edited during the correction window. They are:

  • Registered Email Address (User ID).
  • Nationality.
  • BPL field (if applicable).

How to Avail Application Correction for AILET 2026?

Registered candidates edit the application form by logging in to the official NLU Delhi website by the following process:

  • Step 1: Visit the official website: nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
  • Step 2: Click on the 'Already Registered Login' tab.
  • Step 3: Log in using your registered user ID (email address) and password.
  • Step 4: Navigate to the 'Go to Edit Application Form' tab.
  • Step 5: Make the necessary corrections to your details in the fields that are allowed.
  • Step 6: Click on the ‘Submit’ button to save the changes.

The Extra Fee to be Paid in AILET 2026 Correction Window

NLU Delhi does not charge a separate correction fee for making changes to basic details within the application form. If you change your category, you will be required to pay the extra application fee.

  • If you initially registered as a BPL-exempted candidate and paid INR 0 and want to change to the General category, you will need to pay the full application fee of INR 3,000.
  • If you initially registered as an SC/ST candidate (paid INR 1,000), you will need to pay the remaining balance of (INR 3,000 -1,000) INR 2,000 to change to the General category.
