How to Calculate GATE 2027 Marks?

You can estimate your GATE 2027 marks after the examination by comparing your responses with the official answer key and applying the prescribed marking scheme. The following process will help you estimate your GATE 2027 marks using the official marking scheme.

  • Count the number of questions you answered correctly and add the marks awarded for each correct response.
  • Identify the incorrect MCQ responses and deduct the applicable negative marks from your total.
  • For every incorrect 1-mark MCQ, deduct 1/3 mark.
  • For every incorrect 2-mark MCQ, deduct 2/3 mark.
  • MSQ (Multiple Select Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions do not carry any negative marking. Add the marks for all correct MSQ and NAT responses without making any deductions.
  • After adding the marks for all correct answers and subtracting the negative marks for incorrect MCQs, you will get your estimated GATE 2027 marks.
