MICA Ahmedabad has notified the MICAT 2026 Phase 1 exam to be heldon December 6, 2025 (Saturday). To apply for admission to MICA’s PGDM-C or PGDM programme, you need to appear for the MICAT entrance test and also have a valid CAT, XAT, or GMAT score. If you qualify, you will move on to the GE and PI rounds, and the dates for these will be announced soon. You will be able to view your MICAT 2026 Phase 1 result on December 24, 2025.

You can sit for MICAT in two phases—MICAT I and MICAT II, and the higher of your two scores will be taken into account. Your admission evaluation will follow a combined process that considers your CAT/XAT/GMAT score, your MICAT performance, and your performance in GE and PI. Your final score will be calculated according to the following weightage:

• CAT/XAT/GMAT: 35%
• MICAT: 25%
• GE: 10%
• PI: 20%

As an applicant, you will take the MICAT exam in a computer-based format, which serves as the entrance pathway for MICA’s postgraduate programmes—PGDM-C (Communications) and PGDM. You will have the option to choose from 48 exam cities across India, and the test is conducted twice every year.

MICAT 2026 – Result

MICA will release the MICAT 2026 Phase 1 result on December 24, 2025, while the Phase 2 result will be announced on February 28, 2026. The results will be available as a scorecard, which will show whether a candidate has qualified. To view the MICAT 2026 result, candidates will need to log in to the result portal using their registered login credentials.

MICAT 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

MICAT eligibility criteria for 2026 exam is stated elaborately in the notification on the official website at www.mica.ac.in/mica-admissions-2026:

• To be eligible for admission to MICA’s Post Graduate Programmes — PGDM-C and PGDM — you must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• You should have secured at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in your undergraduate degree from a recognised university.
• Students who are in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or awaiting their final results are also eligible to apply. However, these candidates must:
  • Submit a certificate issued by the principal, director, registrar, or head of department confirming that they are in the final year or awaiting results, and that all academic requirements for the degree have been completed. This certificate must be submitted by June 30, 2026.
  • If selected, admission will be granted on a provisional basis and will only be confirmed once the final mark sheet and passing certificate are submitted. The deadline for submitting these documents is December 31, 2026. Failure to meet this requirement will lead to automatic cancellation of provisional admission.

The application process for MICAT 2026 is online. You need to visit the official MICA website and create an account by entering basic details to receive your login credentials. After that, complete the application form by providing your personal and academic information, uploading your photo and signature, and paying the required application fee. Make sure to verify all entered details before final submission and keep a copy of the form for future reference.

• Register: On the registration page, fill in your name, email ID, and mobile number. You will receive an ID and password via your registered email and mobile number after clicking "Submit".
