TNEA 2026 eligibility criteria define the mandatory academic, domicile, and community qualifications required for entry into B.E. and B.Tech degree programs across Tamil Nadu. Administered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, these guidelines determine whether an applicant qualifies for centralized single-window counseling at tneaonline.org. Because admissions rely entirely on Class 12 Board performance rather than an entrance exam, meeting DoTE's specific subject combination rules, minimum aggregate percentages in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and nativity documentation standards is the essential first step before initiating the online application process.

Studyriserr's Advice: The minimum marks criteria only serve as a basic baseline to make you eligible for registration. Admissions to premier institutions like CEG, MIT, and PSG require a significantly higher aggregate score scaled to the 200-mark cut-off standard.
