The IPM counselling process has officially commenced at both IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya via JIPMAT. Admission policy for both of these institutes may vary based on the shortlisting weightage. Despite minor changes, the overall phases of the selection process have remained largely unchanged. Candidates are shortlisted by IIM Bodh Gaya primarily through their JIPMAT scores. In contrast, IIM Jammu evaluates applicants using a combination of JIPMAT scores, academic achievements, and gender diversity considerations.

In the initial stage of the process, candidates must appear for the JIPMAT exam. Following the exam, shortlisting for admission is carried out based on the JIPMAT cutoff score. Candidates selected for admission are required to pay the prescribed fee by the due date to confirm their seat.
