COMEDK Counselling 2025 process conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has officially started in online mode. The admission process began on June 9, 2025, with the first round of registration and document upload. The admission test was then held from July 18 to July 20 through mock choice filling and the mock allotment results with cutoffs were declared on July 22, 2025. The Round 1 choice editing window closed on July 24 and the Round 1 seat allotment results were declared on July 28, 2025. The students who got seats will have to confirm their admission, pay the fee and report to their allotted college by the extended deadline of August 4, 2025.
The Round 2 seat allotment results were declared on August 12, 2025, and the candidates are asked to confirm their seats by August 16, 2025, after completing the fee payment. Students of KKR category who have selected "Accept and Upgrade" in the first round but did not get an upgrade in the second round are eligible to participate in the third round.
Currently, the third round of COMEDK Counselling 2025 is underway. The preference filling and editing window will be open from August 19 to August 21, 2025, and the result of Round 3 seat allotment will be published on August 22, 2025. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to confirm their admission, pay the counselling fee and report to the concerned college by August 28, 2025 (2:00 PM). It is important to note that both Round 3 and Round 4 are being held only for General Merit (GM) seats.

How to Register for COMEDK Counselling 2025?
Registration for COMEDK Counselling 2025 is done online through the official portal. Students can follow the instructions given here to complete the process.
- Visit the official portal org and log in with your application number and password.
- Click on the 'Counseling Registration' link available on the dashboard.
- Pay the non-refundable counselling fee of INR. 2,000 online (through debit/credit card, net banking or UPI).
- Upload all the required documents including academic certificates, ID proof and category certificate (if applicable).
- Wait for the document verification status. Only candidates marked as 'approved' will be eligible to proceed.
- After verification, enter and lock your college and course choices within the time limit.
Note: Candidates must complete all the steps correctly, otherwise they will not be considered for seat allotment.

COMEDK Counselling 2025- Seat Allotment Process
After successful verification of documents, candidates become eligible to participate in the seat allotment round. The allotment is done completely online through the official portal based on merit, preference and seat availability.
The process works in the following way:
- Candidates have to fill and lock their preferred college and course during the admission process.
- Once the window closes, the system processes all entries and allocates seats according to rank, category and availability.
- The seat allotment results for each round are published online on the website comedk.org.
- Students who have been allotted a seat must accept it and pay the seat acceptance fee of INR.55,000/- online. They have to download their allotment letter within the specified time limit.
- After making the payment, candidates have to report to the allotted college along with all the original documents to confirm their admission.
- Those who choose the 'Accept and Upgrade' option will be able to participate in the next round for a higher preference while retaining their current seat.
Note: Candidates are strongly advised to follow the schedule carefully and complete each step, including fee payment, on time to avoid cancellation of their allotted seat.

Mock allotment in COMEDK Counselling 2025 is a trial seat allotment which is made based on the initial choices filled by the candidates and their merit in the exam. After the mock allotment results are published, candidates are allowed to change their course and branch choices before the final seat allotment.
Students are advised to save all the changes periodically while updating their choices. Candidates should also keep in mind that the final seat allotment may differ from the mock allotment results, irrespective of whether changes are made or not, as the seat allotment depends on the choices and ranks of all participating candidates.
Yes, candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET Counselling 2025 will have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 2000. This fee has to be paid online only through credit card, debit card or net banking. Payments made through RTGS, NEFT, cash, cheque or demand draft (DD) will not be accepted.
Candidates should be aware that the registration fee is completely non-refundable, regardless of any circumstances. In addition to the registration fee, candidates may also have to pay applicable convenience charges as per the bank’s rules. It is advised not to wait till the last minute to complete the payment, as requests for extensions due to failed transactions will not be entertained.
Ans: The colleges participating in COMEDK UGET 2025 include both government and private institutions. There are 132 engineering colleges in Karnataka that accept COMEDK scores for admission to their engineering programs.
Out of these, about 95% are private colleges and 5% are government/government colleges. Admission to both private and government colleges is based on the COMEDK rank, and candidates must meet the COMEDK UGET 2025 cutoff to secure a seat.
