Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD is a Professional level Doctorate program that prepares candidates to become expert pharmacists. It can take 6 - years to complete, which includes one year of mandatory internship. The program includes Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology.
Candidates have to appear for entrance exams followed by a Personal interview, The tests are GPAT, MET, BV CET, etc.
The average fee can be from INR 6,00,000 lakhs to INR 20,00,000. Graduates can get job roles such as : Clinical pharmacists, Hospital staff pharmacists, Hospital pharmacy directors, Retail pharmacists, Drug experts, Pharmacists, etc. The average salary can be from INR 3,00,000 to INR 10,00,000 per annum.
