Jadavpur University Campus and Facilities

Jadavpur University has two campuses: the 58-acre main campus at Raja S.C. Mallick Road and the 26-acre Salt Lake campus. Both campuses offer classroom blocks, laboratories, research spaces, seminar halls and student amenities. The campus is well connected to major transport points including Sealdah Railway Station (8 km), Howrah Station (15 km) and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport (25 km).

Jadavpur University Hostel: The university has 13 hostels (4 for girls and 9 for boys) with a total accommodation capacity of 1,876 students.

• Hostel mess facilities are student-managed under the supervision of superintendents.
• A separate hostel is available for research scholars. Fees include a one-time admission charge of INR 3000 and monthly rent and electricity charges.

Guest House: Jadavpur University guest house has been operational since August 2003.

• It includes 90 double rooms, 3 deluxe AC rooms and 2 single rooms.
• Catering, security and maintenance services are outsourced, while booking and registration are handled by the University.

Library: Jadavpur University central library covers 36,000 sq. ft. with seating for 700 readers and seven reading rooms. 

• An additional annexe of 5,500 sq. ft. is under development.
• The digital library uses DSpace software for institutional repository management and supports text, image, audio and video formats.
• A separate library of 6,500 sq. ft. is available on the Salt Lake campus.
