Following the registration deadline on March 11, this one-time facility is available until March 14, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). Verify your details carefully, as no further opportunities for corrections will be provided. While the correction process is available, final changes will only be applied after the payment of any additional fees necessitated by the modifications.

As per its traditional schedule, the exam is tentatively expected to take place on May 3, 2026, the first Sunday of the month. To bolster examination security this year, NTA is introducing a mandatory live photo capture during the online application process. The exam will remain in its offline, pen-and-paper format, available in 13 languages across various domestic and international centers. 

Steps to Edit Your NEET 2026 Application Form 

If you need to modify your particulars during the NEET 2026 correction window, follow these steps: 

  • Step 1: Visit the official NTA website at neet.nta.nic.in or exams.nta.ac.in/NEET
  • Step 2: On the homepage click on "Correction Window for NEET UG 2026" link. 
  • Step 3: Enter your NEET Application Number and Password into the Candidate Dashboard. 
  • Step 4: Select the "Correction in Application Form" option to unlock the editable fields. 
  • Step 5: Modify the necessary details carefully and click on the "Final Submit" button. 
  • Step 6: Pay any additional balance fee if required. 
  • Step 7: Save and download the updated Confirmation Page for future reference.

NEET UG 2026 Registration Success Tips for Students
  • Name and DOB of Aadhaar Card must match your Class 10 certificate exactly.
  • Ensure your valid mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar.
  • Refresh Aadhaar photo/fingerprints if they are over 5 years old.
  • Use the thumb impression machine, ensuring the ridges are clear.
  • OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued after April 1, 2025 to apply.
  • Use only a digital UDID or a certificate from an NTA-designated center.
  • Capture Live Photo via webcam in a well-lit room with a plain white wall.
  • Use "Running Handwriting" with a black pen for signature scan. Do not use ALL CAPS.
  • Print your Name and Date of Capture at the bottom of the photos.

Application Fees for NEET 2026 Registration

For Indian Nationals: For examination centers within India, the fee is INR 1700 for General candidates, INR 1600 for General-EWS and OBC-NCL candidates, and INR 1000 for SC, ST, PwBD, or Third Gender candidates. Remember that applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) and processing charges will be added to these base amounts.

For International Students: For candidates opting for examination centers located outside of India, a flat fee of INR 9500 applies regardless of your category. Additional processing charges and GST will also be levied on top of this amount.
