MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery that prepare students for a career as a doctor. This course usually takes 5.5 years to complete. 4.5 years is for academic education and one year is for internships. One-year internships are compulsory for this course. MBBS Admission Process 2025
For admission to MBBS, you must take an entrance exam NEET. Maximum colleges require NEET exams score for admission MBBS. Here admission process and eligibility criteria are mentioned below step by step:
- You need to clear your 10+2 board exam. You should have studied biology, chemistry, and physics in 12th standard.
- You need to get 50% marks in your HS board exam.
- After board exam, you need to register your name for NEET exam. Biology, Chemistry, and physics are compulsory subjects for NEET exam.
- After NEET exam, you need to get 720-164 marks in NEET for the selection. These marks are only required for general students.
- For OBC students, you need to score 163-129 and for SC/ST students you need score 163-129 In NEET exams.
- Based on your NEET score, you get to participate in counselling to get a chance at medical colleges. During counselling you can select your preferred colleges and courses.
- You need to pay fees to confirm your seat.
