The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially commenced the registration process for WBJEE 2026 counselling at the official portal, wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. To participate, you must hold a valid rank in the WBJEE 2026 examination.

West Bengal commenced WBJEE 2026 counselling on June 29. To participate, qualified complete the registration, pay the necessary counselling fee through supported digital payment methods and submit your choice filling.  Ensure all personal information, such as your name and date of birth, is entered correctly during the counselling registration, as these details cannot be modified afterward. Review your entries thoroughly before submitting to prevent any risk of disqualification.

JEE Main 2026 qualifiers are also eligible for admission against 10% of the approved seats in self-financing engineering and technology institutes. Academically, applicants must have passed their 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects; a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Mathematics, and one additional relevant subject (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics, IT, Informatics Practices, or a Technical Vocational Subject) is required for general candidates.

WBJEE 2026 Counselling Steps

To ensure a successful WBJEEE 2026 counselling application, carefully navigate the registration, choice filling, and seat acceptance phases outlined below.

  • Step1: Navigate to nic.in, select the registration link, and build your profile. You are required to pay a non-refundable counselling registration fee of INR 500 via the online portal.
  • Step 2: Strategically prioritize your preferred institutes and academic courses. Remember that your final seat assignment is based directly on both your rank and the preferences you submit.
  • Step 3: Seat allocation results are released in stages. Once a seat is assigned to you, you must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 5,000 to secure your position. Note that this amount is refundable according to the board's policies.
  • Step 4: Once you have secured your seat, visit your allotted institution before the deadline. You will need to complete the document verification process and finish all remaining admission requirements.

A relaxed aggregate of 40% applies to SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates. Additionally, all applicants must have passed English with at least 30% marks and be a minimum of 17 years old as of December 31, 2026 (born on or before December 31, 2009) to qualify for seat allocation.
