Candidates interested in applying at BIT Mesra must understand the eligibility criteria. 

Eligibility Criteria Based on Courses

• B.Tech. at Mesra Campus. (Duration : 4 Years) - Indian students - Based on AIR in JEE - Main through CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) / JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). For B.Tech (BioTech), many seats are filled up with NEET(UG) / ICAR AIEEA(UG) scores. 

NRI/OCI/ Foreign National(FN) Based on marks in Class 12 / equivalent qualifying examination.

• B.Arch (Duration : 5 Years) - Based on JEE(Mains) Paper - 2 through CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) / JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). NATA scores are mandatory for this program.
• B.Pharm (Duration : 4 Years) - Based on marks / score received in JEE - Main or NEET - UG. Merit list based on the 60% in JEE (Main) / NEET - UG and 40% in Class 12 / equivalent qualifying test. 
• BHMCT (Duration : 4 Years) - Based on scores obtained in Class XII^th (10 + 2) or equivalent examination

Postgraduate Programs

• MBA (Duration: 2 Years) - Based on CAT /MAT/XAT/CMAT percentile / Scores and GD & PI
• MCA (Duration: 2 Years ) - Based on the marks of the candidates in Online Entrance Test. 
• M.Tech / MUP. (Duration : 2 Years)  
• GATE : Based on GATE score and Academic performance. (80% in GATE score and 20% in Academic Performance).
• Non - GATE : Depending on the Interview and Academic Performance (20% at the Interview and 80% in Academic Performance).

M.Pharm (Duration : 2 Years) 

• GPAT :  Based on GPAT score and Academic performance

(80% in GPAT score and 20% in Academic Performance).

• Non - GPAT : Based on Interview and Academic marks (20% in the Interview and 80% in Academic Performance).

M.Sc. in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, Geo - informatics. (Duration : 2 Years) 

• JAM / CUCET : Based on JAM / CUCET score and Academic Performance

(80% in JAM / CUCET score and 20% in Academic Performance). 

• Non - JAM / CUCET : Based on Interview and Academic Performance

(20% at the Interview and 80% in Academic Performance).

Integrated M.Sc. Chemistry, Food Technology, Mathematics & Computing, Physics, Quantitative.

• Economics & Data Analytics (Duration : 5 Years) - Based on AIR in JEE - Main through CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) / JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority)

Ph.D - Based on scores of Entrance Test, Academic Performance and Interview.

For some programs in the college, the BIT Mesra offers a reservation policy. The seat reservation for MBA is 15%, for ST and PwD it's 5% and for SC it's 7.5%.

BIT Mesra Admission Process 2024

The admission to BIT Mesra is done by the scores of entrance exams. After acquiring the eligible scores, students have to face the selection rounds, offline admission procedure, and proper documents verification. Follow the below steps. 

Step 1 - Visit the official admission page, bitmesra.ac.in/Disp_Notify_Admission. 

Step 2 -  You will see the list of programs and at the right side of the course click on "

Apply now" and follow the process to complete the registration. 

Step 3 -  After registration, you have to appear for the entrance exam, opt for the writing ability exam, and appear for a Personal interview.

Step 4 - After completing the tests students have to check their position in the merit list released by the college. 

Step 5 -  Selected students will have to appear for the WAT - PI rounds. 

Step 6 - Selected students also have to pay the admission fee and submit required documents before the classes starts.
