Great Lakes Chennai was established in 2004. The college is accredited by the NBA, AMBA, AACSB, and SAQS. GLIM Chennai is approved by AICTE. In 2025, the college is ranked 3rd by Outlook and 11th by IIRF in the management category. It offers PGDM, PGPM, Executive PGXPM, FPM, and Online PGPM programs. 

Great Lakes Chennai offers a 2-year flagship PGPM program. A bachelor's degree, 2 years of work experience, and CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ GMAT scores are required for PGPM admission. The average CTC recorded during the 2024 placements is INR 17.3 LPA.

During GLIM Chennai summer internship 2025, the highest and average stipend recorded is INR 5.25 Lakhs and INR 89,700 respectively. The college provided two types of scholarships i.e. Diversity & Merit Scholarships and Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarship, to students with exceptional academic records and exceptional potential.

GLIM Chennai accepts online application forms for all the courses. The  application process is as follows:-

• Register yourself by clicking on the “Apply Now” button.
• Complete the application form and submit it.
• Complete the registration by paying the application fee. 
• Candidates can also access the application form by using the link sent to the registered email address.

Note:

• LOR needs to be sent to fpm.admissions@greatlakes.edu.in within two weeks of form submission.
• At least one of the recommenders should be from an academic background.
• For the PGDM program, part-time jobs and internships do not qualify for the work experience.
• The application form for the Chennai and Gurgaon campuses is the same. Select your campus preference while filling out the application form.

Diversity & Merit Scholarships

Great Lakes offers Diversity and Merit scholarships to students of a one-year PGPM course. In the 2025–26 session, a total of 40 scholarships, each of INR 5 Lakhs, will be awarded. A number of female candidates who will be awarded the scholarship will be 30%.

Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarship

The Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarship is offered to candidates with exceptional potential and a comprehensive track record. The Dr. Bala V Balachandran Merit Scholarships provides full Tuition Fee waiver (Rs. 11.5 lakhs for PGPM 2025-26) and access to mentorship from CXOs as well as high-achieving Great Lakes alumni.
