Kolkata: IGNOU registration 2025 deadline for fresh admissions and re-registration for the January 2025 session has been extended till March 31, 2025, with a late fee of INR 200. Candidates can now apply online for open, and distance learning (ODL) programs through the official website: ignou.ac.in. This extension applies to undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and certain diploma programs.

For the January session, IGNOU allows candidates to re-register both online and offline methods. This option is available to all undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and certain diploma programs. Candidates pursuing courses like BA, B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, M.Sc., MA, M.Com, and others can choose either option to re-register.

IGNOU 2025 registration fee is non-refundable. However, if you cancel your admission before it is confirmed, the fee you paid will be refunded (except the registration fee). If you cancel after admission confirmation, 15% of the program fee (up to a maximum of ?2,000) will be deducted. For candidates who chose soft copies of study material, only the registration fee will be deducted before refunding the remaining amount. If you availed fee exemption and paid only the registration and development fees, only the development fee will be refunded. Importantly, no refund will be given if you request cancellation more than 60 days after the admission closing date.
