Kolkata: At first day of Haryana's Class 12 board exams turned chaotic as 37 cases of cheating were reported from multiple districts, including Nuh, Sonipat, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri. HBSE took quick action and fired two exam supervisors for their negligence in maintaining exam integrity.

Haryana board faced a major scandal on February 27, 2025, Thursday when class 12 English exam paper got leaked within 30 minutes of exam starting. Two invigilators overseeing the exam centre in Sonipat were arrested for allegedly sharing question paper on WhatsApp, sparking outrage among students and parents. A viral video showed someone inside an exam center secretly taking a photograph of class 12 board exam question paper and sending it out.
Haryana class 12 English exam paper was leaked at a government school in Palwal and a school in Tapkan village, Nuh at the first day of exam. In Nuh a man was caught using a ladder to pass chits to students through a window. In Sonepat's Jatwara village, groups of youth were seen solving exam papers just 50 meters away from the exam center and sharing answers.
Haryana Board official admitted that cheating incidents happened in many districts. When asked about Nuh, district education officer (DEO) Ajit Singh, he said he was in Panchkula for a meeting but assured to take strict action against this incident.
Haryana Board took strict action and fired two exam supervisors, Arshad Hussain from Jamalgarh Government School and Parveen from Panhera Khurd Government School for failing to ensure exams integrity. Additionally, FIRs were registered against them to be involved in the paper leak cases in Palwal and Tapkan village, Nuh.
After these cheating incidents, Haryana Board has ensured to tighten security at exam centers to stop malpractice during exams. HBSE official informed that monitoring at exam centers will be increased to ensure fair and honest exams.
Authorities have warned that if anyone involved cheating or leaking papers will face strict punishment, and strong action will be taken against them.
