What are the Changes Announced for CUET UG 2025?

UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has announced several updates for CUET UG 2025 based on recommendations from an expert panel. Here are the major changes:

Flexible Subject Choice: Candidates can appear for the CUET UG 2025 exam in any subject, regardless of the subjects they studied in class 12.
Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in CBT mode (Computer-Based Test).
Reduced Subjects: CUET UG subjects have been reduced from 63 to 37. Subjects like teaching aptitude, legal studies and entrepreneurship have been removed.
Exam Duration: Each exam will be 1 hour long.
General Aptitude Test: Scores from the general aptitude test will be used for admission to courses related to discontinued subjects.
No Optional Questions: There will be no optional questions in CUET UG 2025.
