MAT exam is a national-level entrance exam in India conducts four times in a year, with over 20,000 candidates appearing for each session and approximately 80,000 candidates taking the exam annually. It serves as a gateway to more than 600 business schools and management colleges across the country.

Kolkata: Candidates appearing for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) must carefully follow the MAT Exam Day Guidelines 2025. The Computer-Based Test (CBT) is set to be schedule on March 23, 2025. Important instructions regarding exam are mentioned on the admit card.

MAT 2025 is conducted in three modes: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Paper-Based Test (PBT), and Internet-Based Test (IBT). For CBT and PBT, candidates must report to allotted exam centre. However, IBT allows candidates to take the test from home using a desktop or laptop with a camera.

For IBT mode, candidates must strictly follow AIMA's guidelines to prevent impersonation, cheating, or malpractices, ensuring exam integrity and a smooth, hassle-free experience.

Candidates must follow specific exam day guidelines to avoid serious consequences, including candidature cancellation. MAT 2025 exam is conducted in CBT, PBT, and IBT modes, all under strict surveillance. Familiarize yourself with the dos and don'ts in advance for a smooth exam experience.

MAT Exam 2025 Guidelines - Do's

  • Each student will be assigned an individual reporting time to avoid crowding at the exam centre entrance. Ensure you arrive at the MAT exam centre at the exact reporting time specified on your MAT 2025 admit card.
  • Bring a colour printout of your MAT 2025 admit card and the original copy of your photo ID.
  • Download your admit card from the AIMA MAT website as soon as it is released to verify details and rectify any errors promptly. Admit cards can be downloaded until the exam day.
  • Carry a valid government issues photo ID proof (Passport /Voter ID card /Aadhaar card /PAN card /Driving license /Employer ID card /College ID card). MAT staff will verify your admit card and photo ID proof at the entry gate.
  • Candidates will be frisked for security purposes.
  • Personal items such as bags, mobile phones, watches, books, wallets, electronic gadgets, notebooks, etc. will not be permitted inside the MAT exam centre.
  • Carry only essential items.
  • For signing the attendance sheet carry a blue ballpoint pen. For PBT mode, bring two pens to fill out the OMR sheet.
  • The MAT exam duration is 120 minutes with no sectional time limits. Allocate time wisely across all 5 sections to ensure you complete the test on time and do not miss any section.

MAT Exam 2025 Guidelines - Don'ts

  • After security frisking, the invigilator will sign your MAT 2025 admit card. Do not sign your admit card before this process.
  • Engaging in any form of malpractice or breaching the exam's code of conduct will lead to strict penalties. Make sure you adhere to all rules and regulations.
  • Bringing rough sheets or paper into the exam hall is strictly prohibited. Rough sheets for calculations or notes will be provided inside the exam hall.
  • Do not carry electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, communication devices such as Bluetooth devices, earphones, pagers, iPads, or any other gadgets. These items are not strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.
  • For the PBT mode, OMR sheets will be provided to mark your answers. Ensure you mark the correct option in the designated field only. Do not tamper with or misuse the OMR sheet.
  • Do not create issues or argue with the staff during identification and frisking. Uncooperative or unruly behavior may lead to disqualification from the MAT exam.
  • Do not disturb other candidates or try to look at their computer screens/OMR sheets. Such actions will lead to immediate disqualification from the exam.
  • Candidates must wait for the invigilator's announcement before leaving the MAT exam hall. Do not insist on leaving early. Exit only when instructed and in the specified sequence.
  • Before exiting the test lab, ensure you deposit the provided rough sheets into the designated box. Do not take any sheets or materials from the exam hall.
