Last year, a total of 33,218 candidates applied for the JKCET 2024, out of which 27,496 aspirants appeared for the exam. This year, in 2025 the board expects higher participation compared to the previous year.
Kolkata: Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has extended the registration deadline for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2025. Initially, the last date to apply was March 19, 2025, but it has now been extended to March 24, 2025. Candidates now have more time to complete their applications for the exam.

JKCET 2025 will be conducted by the JKBOPEE on April 12, 2025. While the board has not yet announced the result date for this year, last year's results were declared on June 25, 2024.
JKCET 2025 exam will be conducted in offline mode, meaning it will be a pen-and-paper-based test. JKCET exam will be 3 hours long and will be held entirely in English. The question paper will include a total of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), which will be divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section will focus on its respective subject, and candidates will need to answer the questions within the allotted time. Candidates will be awarded +1 mark for every correct answer. However, for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted as negative marking. This format ensures a comprehensive assessment of the students' knowledge in these core subjects.

To successfully complete the JKCET application process, candidates are required to pay the application fee of INR 1000. This payment must be made online only, and candidates can pay the JKCET 2025 application fee via credit/debit card/net banking, etc. And the application fee is non-refundable.
