Kolkata: The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has extended the online registration deadline till March 23, 2025, for the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses which was previously set for March 10, 2025. According to the official notification, eligible candidates planning to apply for the CUSAT CAT can now complete their registration process by March 23, 2025, via the official website.

The registration process for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) began on February 6, 2025. Aspiring candidates who are eligible can still apply for the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. For application, they must pay an application fee of INR 1,500. This fee permits candidates to appear for a maximum of two test codes. They need to pay an extra fee for additional test codes.

This fee structure applies for multiple programs, including M.Tech. and MBA courses, additionally, candidates applying for PG programs through CUET (Common University Entrance Test) will also need to pay the CUSAT CAT registration fee.

  • Candidates must secure 60% aggregated marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 10+2 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board.
  • They must study in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination.
  • Scored a minimum 50% marks in the English either in Class 10 or in class 12 (applicable for all categories).
  • Candidates must qualify the CET conducted by IMU.
  • Candidates must also submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificates. These certificates must be issued by Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping.
Naval Architecture & Ship Building
  • Candidates must have scored 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 or an equivalent exam from the Kerala Board or any other recognized board.
  • Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics should be compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination.
  • Obtained 50% in Mathematics.
  • Must secure 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined.
Instrumentation & Technology
  • Obtained 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying exam.
  • Obtained 55% in Mathematics.
Polymer Science & Engineering
  • Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from a recognized Board.
  • Must secure 50% in Mathematics.

What are the Documents Required for CUSAT CAT 2025?

While filling out the CUSAT CAT 2025 application form, candidates should keep the listed documents ready:

  • Mark sheets/certificates of class 10 and 12.
  • Scanned passport-sized photo.
  • Scanned signature.
  • A valid government ID proof.
  • Registered mobile number and email ID.
  • KSC/KST certificate (If applicable).
  • Payment details.

What is the CUSAT CAT Application Fee?

The CUSAT CAT 2025 application fee is RS.1,500 for up to two test codes (RS.700 for KSC/KST candidates). For extra test codes, the fee is RS.500 per code (RS.250 for KSC/KST). MTech and MBA programs do not require the CAT, so no extra fee is needed. CUET applicants (for PG programs) must pay the CAT registration fee. Payments can be made using Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, or Net Banking.
