IIT Kharagpur offers various grants to their meritorious and needy students based on their academic excellence and more.

Scholarships		Details
1.	Merit Cum Means Scholarship	This is given to over 1000 students based on their merits. Students belonging to SC/ST categories can get this scholarship who are pursuing dual degree programs and UG courses in the college. Also, the candidates must maintain GPA of 7.00 to renew the grant. .
2.	Private Scholarship	Other than the merit cum means grants, there are private scholarships at IIT Kharagpur.
3.	B.P. Poddar Scholarship	This is provided to the eligible candidates of B.Arch /B.Tech or Dual Degree Program with the highest CGPA at the end of the semester exam. The award is INR 1000 per month for 10 months.
4.	Kumud Manorama Scholarship	This is awarded to the third - year students in the dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech program. The sum of INR 1000 for 10 months is awarded based on the academic performance of the students.
5.	K.K. Agarwal Memorial Scholarship	This is for the final year students of Dual Degree programs in Agriculture and Food Engineering and B. Tech. eligible candidates get INR 400 for 10 months.
6.	Madan Sundar Sahu Lal Memorial Scholarship	IIT Kharagpur offers this scholarship for the second and final year students of Dual degree and B. Tech programs with the qualifying CGPA scores. Students who apply for this grant, must have parental income less than INR 2.5 lakhs. The candidate can get INR 2100 per month.
