West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, WBCHSE recently changed the Higher Secondary curriculum, revised the mark structure, and introduced new subjects.

WBCHSE Changed Syllabus

The exam council has discontinued subjects such as French, Gujarati, and Punjabi, and added subjects like telecom, food processing, insurance, banking financial services, science of well-being, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

WBCHSE Class 12 HS new syllabus will be effective from 2024-25. WBCHSE has discontinued three language papers due to fewer students registering for the topics.

WBCHSE Revised Mark Structure

The council also made some changes to marks. The theory of components of health and family education has increased from now 70 which was previously 40. The practical aspect will be 30%. For visual arts and music, the practical and theory marks will be 50% for each. WBCHSE also suggested a warm-up program in AI for the class 10 syllabus.

WBCHSE Syllabus Code Change

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has also changed the codes of the subjects. the health and physical education- HPED. Agronomy- AGRI. The Home Management and Family Resource (HMFR) received the new name of- human development and Resource Management (HDRM).
