VNSGU Notice To 42 Institutes, Asking their Affiliation Documents

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, VNSGU asked affiliation documents from the 42 affiliated educational institutes. VNSGU Vice-Chancellor Dr Kishor Sinh Chawda stated, that they have received complaints that the affiliated 42 centers are not following Act’s Section 53, sub-section 2 rules.

VNSGU, Gujarat has notified the 42 affiliated educational institutes and study centers situated in Surat, asking them to provide the documents of the affiliation to the university.  The study centers also have to produce no-objection certificates provided by the university and state education department issued letter within five days.  VNSGU further notified that they are not defying norms under the 2023 Gujarat Public University Act by joining with other universities.

The Friday announced notice states that, VNSGU have acknowledged that the affiliated institute is running various courses that all in the jurisdiction of VNSGU. According to the 2023 Gujarat Public University Act, the institute have to submit their affiliation documents to the university with which the education center is connected. They also have to provide a no objection certification and a state education department issued permission letter within five days.

VNSGU Vice-Chancellor Dr Kishor Sinh Chawda stated that, they have received the complaints about the 42 affiliated educational institutes that they are not following the Act’s Section 53, sub-section 2 rules. They have already given them a five-day deadline to contact the university and provide the required documents. If they fail to do as notified, the university will again issue the notice to give the study centers more time. If they still fail to produce the documents, VNSGU will take proper action.

According to Act’s Section 53, sub-section 2, no educational center affiliated with the university, except the ones with the sanction of the state government department and the consent from the university, be associated or seek admission to any other college or university. The exceptions are the public university, and project and research collaborations of the affiliated university.
