The Asha Scholarship was founded in 2022, and since then, the scheme has helped 3,198 students by offering over INR 3.91 crore in funds. The goal of this foundation is to help reserved-category students pursue higher and quality education.

1. SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for School Students
Eligibility
Students must be studying in classes 6 to 12 in the 2024-25 academic year.
Candidates must have a minimum of 75% marks or above in the previous academic year.
The annual family income should not exceed INR 3,00,000.
All Indian nationals can apply.
Important Notes:
- SC/ST category students will get preference.
- 50% of slots are reserved for female students.
Scholarship Benefits
INR 15,000 to each eligible student.
2. SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students
Eligibility
- Candidates must be studying UG courses in a premier college in India.
- Applicants must have obtained 75% or above marks in the previous academic year.
- The annual family income of the student should not exceed INR 6,00,000.
- Candidates should be Indian nationals.
Important Notes:
- Students with annual family income up to INR 3,00,000 per annum will receive preference.
- SC/ST category students will get preference.
Scholarship Benefits
Eligible students will get up to INR 50,000.
3. SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Postgraduate Students
Eligibility
- Students must be studying in any premier college in India as listed in the top 100 institutes according to the rankings of the NIRF.
- Candidates must have 75% or above marks in the previous academic year.
- The annual family income of the students must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
Important Notes:
- Students with an annual family income of INR 3,00,000 per annum will get preference.
- 50% of slots are reserved for female students.
- SC/ST category students will get preference.
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
Scholarships Benefits
Students can get up to INR 70,000.
4. SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for IIT Students
Eligibility
- Applicants must be studying an Undergraduate course at any IIT in India.
- Candidates must have 75% marks or above in the previous qualifying exam.
- The annual family income of the student must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
- Students must be Indian citizens.
Important Note:
- Students with annual family income up to INR 3,00,000 per annum will get preference.
- 50% of slots are reserved for female candidates.
- SC/ST category applicants will get preference.

- Eligible students will get up to INR 2,00,000.
5. SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for IIM Students
Eligibility
- Candidates must be studying MBA or PGDM programs at any IIM in India.
- Students must have 75% marks or above in the previous exam.
- The annual family income should not exceed INR 6,00,000.
- Candidates must be Indian nationals.
Important Notes:
- Students with annual family income up to INR 3,00,000 per annum will get preference.
- 50% of slots are reserved for female students
- SC/ST category students will get preference.
Scholarship Benefits
Candidates can get up to INR 7,50,000.
Documents Required to Apply for SBI Asha Scholarship 2024
- Mark sheets of class 10 to postgraduate level studies.
- A valid photo ID proof. An Aadhar card is preferred.
- Current year fee receipt
- Proof of current year admission such as college identity card, or admission letter.
- Bank account details of the candidate or their parents.
- Proof of income of the parents.
- A passport-size, recent photograph of the student
- Caste certificate (if required).
Steps to Apply for SBI Asha Scholarship 2024
Candidates have to visit the official website to apply. Follow the below steps.
Step 1- Visit the official website buddy4study.com.
Step 2- On the homepage, at the centre right side, click on “Apply Now” to get the list of various scholarships offered to students.
Step 3- Select the one you are eligible for and click on “Apply Now” to get the application section.
Step 4- Click on the “Not Registered Yet? Create an account” option to access the next step.
Step 5- Enter the candidate’s First Name, Last Name, Email ID, mobile, and password, confirm the Password, agree to the terms and click on “Sign up” to register. You can also sign up with your Google account. Upload the required documents and submit the application form.
Step 6- To log in, at the top right side of the page click on “Login” to enter the registered mobile number or email ID and password and click on “Login” to sign in. You can also sign in with your Google account.
What is the Selection Process
- The selection process is merit-based, and both financial conditions and academic performance are evaluated to select the right candidate.
- Shortlisted students have to go through a telephonic interview, followed by document verification.
- After the candidate is selected to receive the financial support, the scholarship money will be transferred to the recipient’s bank accounts.
