Post-matric Scholarship for SC: Application Period- November to January (Tentative). Awards- The tuition fee or course fee, admission fee, library and sports fee and maintenance allowance of up to INR 5,50 for day scholars and INR 1,200 for hostellers
Post-matric Scholarship for ST: Application Period- November to January (Tentative). Awards- The tuition fee or course fee, admission fee, library and sports fee and maintenance allowance of up to INR 550 for day scholars and INR 1,200 for hostellers
Post-matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBC: Application Period- November to January (Tentative). Awards- The tuition fee or course fee, admission fee, library and sports fee and maintenance allowance of up to INR 350 for day scholars and INR 750 for hostellers

PRERANA Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Students must check the eligibility criteria before applying for a scholarship at PRERANA portal.
Group I: Graduate or Postgraduate level programs in engineering, medical, agriculture and veterinary. Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course, PG diploma course in management & medicine, courses related to Accountancy M.Phil., Ph.D. and postdoctoral program (D. Lit, D.Sc. etc), LLM
Group II: Graduate or Postgraduate courses for the degree, diploma certification areas such as pharmacy, nursing, paramedical, LLB, mass communication, hotel management, interior decoration, etc. PG programs like MA, M.Sc., M.Com., M.Ed., M. Pharma, etc.
Group III: Over three courses
Group IV: Over two, ITI, three-year diploma & two years vocational programs.
Detailed Eligibility for PRERANA Scholarships
Here, are the detailed eligibility criteria for PRERANA scholarships.
Post-matric Scholarship for SC:
- The annual family income of the students should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh.
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha state.
- Students must be studying in the post-matric level mentioned under the I, II, III & IV groups.
- The candidate must be pursuing education in a government-recognized private or government institute.
Post-matric Scholarship for ST:
- The annual family income of the students should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh.
- The students must be a permanent resident of Odisha state.
- The candidate must be pursuing education in a government-recognized private or government institute.
Post-matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBC:
- The annual family income of the applicant must not exceed INR 1 Lakh.
- The candidate must have minimum 50% marks in the previous qualifying exam.
- The students must be from Odisha.
- Candidates must be studying in the post-matric level in any programs under the Group I, II, III & IV.
- The students must be continuing their education in a private or government institute.
Post-matric Scholarship for EBC:
- The annual family income of the candidate must not go over INR 1 Lakh
- The candidate must be studying the courses under the Group I, II, III & IV.
- Applicants must be pursuing studies in a government institute.
- This scheme is only for the EBC of General category students.
How to Apply for PRERANA Scholarship
Students have to visit the official website to apply. Follow the below steps.
- Visit the official website:
Go to the official webpage scholarship.odisha.gov.in.
- Check scholarship eligibility:
If you want to apply for a scholarship, it’s imperative to check the eligibility first. On the homepage, at the center right side of the page click on “Check Scholarship eligibility” option to access the next step. Here, Choose your gender, select your category, special category, highest qualification, course you are pursuing to study, institution type, studying in Odisha, does parents have a KALIA beneficiary?, does parent hold a labor card?, yearly family income, total marks in last exam, and click on “Check Eligibility” option to get the result.
- How to register as an applicant:
To register as an applicant, at the top right side of the page click on “Login” to access a drop-down menu. Here, click on “Student Login” option to go to the next step. If you don’t have an account, click on “Don’t Have an Account? Register Here” option to access the next section. Read and agree to the terms and conditions and click on “Proceed” to access the next page. Provide your Aadhar Number and click on “Get OTP” you will get the OTP on your Aadhar linked mobile number, enter that and complete the registration.
- Login as an applicant:
For the login, return to the login section, and enter Unique Number / Aadhaar Number, Password, captcha and click on “Sign in” to login.
After login, you can check the list of scholarships and apply for them online. Take a print out of the application for future use.
PRERANA Scholarship Documents Required
Applicants need to submit required documents to apply for PRERANA Scholarship. Check out the list below.

PRERANA Scholarship Terms & Conditions
- Applicants applying for scholarships at this portal must provide the correct bank account details, and it should be in the name of the candidate.
- Students must keep their application ID and password secured as this contains personal and sensitive details about the candidate.
- Candidates must submit the correct details while filling the form, because incorrect information may lead to rejection and legal actions may be take against the students.
- Applications from the educational institutes will be processed on a first-come-first-serve and the candidates will get early access the scholarships.
- If a student’s scholarship renewal application is for the same program, they do not need to provide their caste and income certificates again.
- Students must be ready with their board name, year of passing, and roll number at the time of online registration on the portal.
