NIOS Login Guide: Steps to Login, Reset Password and More

NIOS Login  

The login process of NIOS () is simple. You can log in on the NIOS portal using the username/ email or using Reference number and Enrollment number. You can check the details for login below: 

• Search for NIOS Login or directly visit @sdmis.nios.ac.in/auth

• If you want to apply via username/ Email, enter username and your password.  
• You can also apply using Reference number and enrollment number. In this case you need to either enter Reference number or enter Enrollment number and date of birth both.  
• Now ‘login’ to complete your NIOS login process. 

NIOS Reset Password 

In case you have forgotten your NIOS password, the institute provides you with the facility to ‘Reset’ it. This NIOS reset Password process consists of the following steps: 

• Visit @ sdmis.nios.ac.in/auth/request-password-reset

• Now enter the ‘Username’/ ‘Email’ in the box. 

• Now Submit. After submitting it you will receive a reset password link on your registered email.  

• Now click on this link and reset your password.  

• Note down this password for the future reference.

Q. Is NIOS a better option than CBSE?

Ans. NIOS is known for its flexible curriculum and thus helps students to pursue schooling
in various circumstances. However, CBSE curriculum is very much structured and the atmosphere is competitive. However, the syllabus of NIOS is based on the NCERT guidelines only. 

Q. Is my NIOS 12th degree valid?

• Navigate the page and click on the NIOS Admit card 

• Click on it and save the Hall ticket for future use. Take a print out also.
