NCVT or National Council of Vocational Training is an advisory body of Indian Government, founded in 1956. Formerly, it was known as the National Council of Training in Vocational Trades (NCTVT) which works as per the instructions of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Directorate General of Training, Government of India.
This advisory body is entrusted with advising the Indian Government on overall policy/programs, mainly the necessary standards and curriculum of craftsman training and they conduct All India level Tests and provide the candidates with National Trade Certificates. They conduct tests, such as the Apprenticeship Training Scheme, All India Trade Test, and Craftsmen Training Scheme.
There is another council, called SCVT, which deals with the same matters as the NCVT, but at the state level. The SCVT stands for the State Council for Vocational Training, which is a small fragment as compared to the NCVT.
NCVT Certificate: The NCVT Certificate is provided to those who complete the ITI under the NCVT. This certificate is very important as it signifies that the candidate has completed the course.
NCVT MIS Apprenticeship
NCVT has built a Management Information System to reach out to the students. It is an administrative information system that has a computerized database of details about the candidates and enrollments for both Engineering and Non-Engineering skill development courses offered at various it is.
The NCVT controls it as per the instruction of the Indian Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. They conduct the exams and assessments on a semester basis, which is divided into four semesters in total.
