Maharashtra TET 2024 Registration Starts: Steps to Register, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern, and Fees

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination, MSCE, Pune has started the registration facility for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 on the official website, mahatet.in. Eligible candidates can register and apply for the exam, which will be conducted on 10 November 2024. The exam will include two papers, Paper 1 for teaching classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 for teaching classes 6 to 8.

 

Maharashtra TET 2024 Exam Timing

Paper 1 exam will be conducted from 10.30 am to 1 pm, and Paper 2 will be organized from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. On 10 November 2024. MSCE, Pune will release the Maharashtra TET 2024 admit card on 28 October 2024.

Candidates have to visit the official website to register. Follow the below steps.

Step1- Visit the official website mahatet.in.

Step 2- On the homepage, at the top left side of the page, click on “Login” to get a drop-down menu, and click on the “New Registration of Candidate” option to access the next step.

Step 3- Here, enter a username, password, candidate’s name, father’s name, surname, mobile number, email ID, mobile number OTP, email OTP, and click on “Send OTP/Send OTP” to provide the OTP (One-time password) and follow the instructions and complete the registration by uploading required documents, paying the fee. Take a printout of the application for future use.

Step 4- To log in, from the “Login” section, click on the “Candidate Login” option to access the next step.

Step 5- Provide a username and password and click on “Login” to sign in.

 

Maharashtra TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • For Paper 1, candidates must have completed class 12 and passed a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or Diploma in Education (D. Ed).
  • For paper 2, applicants have to pass class 12 or have graduated. Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) or Diploma in Education (D. Ed).
  • For both paper 1 and paper 2, candidates must have completed class 12 and passed a Bachelor of Education or Diploma (B. Ed) in Education (D. Ed).

 

Exam Pattern of Maharashtra TET 2024

Candidates who want to register for this exam must understand the exam pattern. This will help the applicants prepare for the test.

  • Paper 1 Syllabus- Environmental Studies, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics.
  • Paper 2 Syllabus – Science or Social Studies, Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics.
  • Exam Duration for Paper 1- 150 minutes.
  • Exam Duration for Paper 2- 150 minutes.
  • Total number of questions for Paper 1- 150.
  • Total number of questions for Paper 2- 150.
  • Marking Process for Paper 1- Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There’s no negative marking for wrong answers.

Application Fee of Maharashtra TET 2024

All candidates have to pay an application fee online. The fee is different for various categories.

 

For Paper I or Paper II

  • Scheduled Caste- INR 700.
  • Scheduled Tribes- INR 700.
  • For Handicapped Candidates (Disability of 40% or above- INR 700.
  • Other Candidates (Categories including- SEBC, EWS, Open, VJA/DTA, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, SBC, OBC)- INR 1000.

 

For Both Papers

  • Scheduled Caste- INR 900.
  • Scheduled Tribes- INR 900.
  • For Handicapped Candidates (Disability of 40% or above- INR 900
