The financial aids offered by the college are in the form of tuition fee waiver, and direct deposits to the bank accounts of the students. Here, in this article, we are going to describe the different types of scholarships the college offers.

ToggleCentral scheme scholarships
There are different types scholarships offered under the central scheme.
For UG students, Top Class Education Scheme for SC students- This grant is provided by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. Given to the SC category students from class 12 to higher studies after that.
Eligibility Criteria
- The family income of the students has to be up to yearly INR 6 lakhs.
- Only two siblings of the family will get this grant. The students must provide an affidavit to the college declaring that they are not the third child of the family who wants to avail this scholarship.
- Candidates will not get this grant if they fail to pass the final test in any year during the education session.
Eligible students will continue receiving this scholarship based on their academic performances.
Amount of Scholarship– They will get the full tuition fee, living expense of INR 2200 per month, stationary and books expense will be INR 3000 per annum, computer or laptop with accessories such as printer, UPS will be INR 45000.
Students can apply for the scholarship at the National Scholarship Portal.
The tuition fee with the non-refundable fees will be paid to the college, and other benefits will be provided directly to the studentās account.
National Fellowship for PG and Scholarship for UG or PG Students
This is given to the ST category students pursuing higher studies. This grant is provided by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Eligibility Criteria
- This grant is offered to ST category students to encourage them for higher studies in the fields such as Engineering, Management, Medicine, Information Technology, Law etc.
- Once an ST student is allowed for this scholarship, they cannot apply for another.
- The annual family income of the students must not exceed INR 6 lakh.
- Students must have enrolled for MPHIL for two years or PHD for 5years.
Amount of Scholarship– M.Phil Fellowship offers INR 25000 per month, Contingency amount is INR 10000 a year and INR 12000 a year for studying in the subjects such as HRA, Engineering Technology, and Science.
Candidates have to apply through the National Scholarship Portal.
The payments will be through Direct Benefit Transfer Ā to he beneficiaries.
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students for UG Students
This scholarship is provided by the MHRD, Department of Higher Education. This is to offer financial assistance to meritorious students with low income family background, so they can bear the expenses of their education while handling the day to day to cost of living.
Eligibility Criteria-
- Candidates with 80% marks or above in a relevant stream from the 10+2 in regular mode from a recognized board can apply.
- The annual parental income must not exceed INR 8 lakh.
Students can renew the scholarship-
- Having 50% marks in the previous exam.
- They must have 75% attendance at the college
- Students must not have engaged in any kind of ragging activities.
Amount of Scholarship-
- Candidates can get INR 10,000 a year, at the UG level, and at PG level eligible students can get INR 20,000 per annum.
- Students can apply on the National Scholarship Portal.
- The scholarship amount will be made through Direct Benefit Transfer or DBT through Aadhar payment process.
Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for RPF for UG Students
This scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Railways to the Undergraduate level students.
Eligibility Criteria-
Candidates must have scored 60% marks or above in the last qualifying exam.
Amount of scholarship-
- Eligible male students can get INR 2000 per month. Female students will get INR 2,250 per month.
- StudentsĀ pursuing B.Ed, BBS, BCA, MCA, BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, B.Pharma can apply.
- The amount is directory credited in the bank of the beneficiaries through DBT mode.
Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles (for Undergraduate Students)
This scholarship under Central awards is funded by WARB, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Eligibility Criteria-
- Widows or wards of deceased AR & CAPFs personnel, and the wards of disabled personnel can apply for the grant, and other wards of personnels can apply.
- Students must be pursuing MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, B.Pharma, B.Sc (Nursing, Agriculture, etc.), Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Veterinary, courses.
- Candidates must have 60% marks in 10+2, Diploma and in Graduation.
- To renew the grant, students must have 50% marks in each semester.
Amount of scholarship-
- Girl students will get INR 3000 per month, and boy students will get INR 25000 per month. Candidates can get the grant for up to 5 years.
- The amount is transferred directly in the bank account of the beneficiaries through DBT.
(i) Post-matric Scholarship for SwDs–
This scholarship is offered to the Students with Disabilities Status or SwDs, so they can prepare for their livelihood.
Eligibility Criteria-
- Students with 40% disability or above can apply
- At least two disabled children from one family will get the scholarship.
- The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.50 lakh.
- Students will get this grant for the entire academic session.
Amount of Scholarship-
- Eligible students will get INR 1600 per annum pursuing Engineering courses and staying at the hostel.
- Disability allowance of INR 4000 for visually impaired, hearing impaired will get INR 2000 per annum, physically disabled will get INR 40000 per annum, intellectual disabled will get INR 2000 per annum.
- Book allowance will be INR 1500 per annum.
- The amount will be credited directly in the bank accounts of the recipient.
(ii) Top class education (for UG/PG degree/diploma students)
This is another grant for the Students with Disabilities Status or SwDs.
Eligibility Criteria-
- Disability should be 40% or above
- Only two disabled children from one family are allowed
- The students must not be receiving any other stipend or scholarships.
- The annual family income should not exceed INR 6 lakh.
Financial Assistance Offered-
- Tuition fee amount will be INR 2 lakh per annum
- Maintenance allowance- INR 3000 per month to hostel dwellers, which is INR 1500 per month for day scholars.
- Escort, and reader allowance- INR 2000 per month.
- Computer purchase fee- INR 30,000, which is a one time fee.
- Expense of assistive devices and aids- One time amount of INR 30000.
- Eligible students can apply on National Scholarship Portal.
The amounts are funded directly in the bank accounts of the recipients through PFMS system.
Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship for Minority Communities
This is offered to the students pursuing UG or PG degree in Technical and Professional fields, and itās offered by Ministry of Minority Affairs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students must have scored at least 50% marks in the previous qualifying exam.
- The annual family income must not exceed INR 2.50 lakh.
Amount of Scholarship-
- Eligible candidates will get per month INR 1000 for the first academic year. Hostellers will get INR 500 per month for continuous 10 months.
- Students can apply on the National Scholarship Portal.

UGC Scheme Scholarship
University Grants Commission offers this scholarship to the eligible students of this college.
1.ISHAN UDAY for UG Students
Students pursuing undergraduate studies can get this award, and the candidates must be from the North Eastern Region of India.
Eligibility Criteria-
- Students must have passed class 12 or equivalent.
- The annual family income must not exceed INR 4.50 lakh.
Amount of Scholarship-
- Students can get INR 5400 while pursuing general degree, and INR 7800 for studying technical/medical/professional/paramedical programs.
- Candidates can apply on the National Scholarship Portal.
- Students will get the amount through DBT mode in their bank accounts.
- Institute Scheme Scholarships
The institute offers scholarships to its students. This scholarship is offered to the UG and the students of MSC.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā 3.Merit-cum-Means Scholarships
This is awarded to the meritorious students. A second year and an UG students can get this grant.
- General and OBC students can get INR 1000 per month for two semesters, and free tuition fee.
- SC & ST students- Candidates will get pocket allowance of INR 250. They will also get free mess, and hostel room rent exemption.
- Academic Excellence Awards/Donor Scholarships
The college offers this award to the UG students each year.
Shri Kedar Nath Das Memorial Award- Students of 4th year Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic performances can get this award. The amount they can get is INR 10000, and presented at the Convocation day.
Eligibility Criteria-
- Shri Jagdish Nath Tripathi Memorial Scholarship- The first year Undergraduate degree students can get this scholarship. Candidates who have have applied using JEE exam with 8.00 CPI or above in the second semester can get this award.
- Students must not have an āFāgrade at the time of accepting the award, and must not have faced any disciplinary actions against them.
- The annual family income has to be below INR 1 lakh per annum.
Amount of Scholarship- Only eligible students can get INR 30000.
