From the academic session 2024-25 all the seats will be filled by the IIESR entrance test only. For the dual degree course, KVPY and JEE Advanced scores are no longer accepted. The last date of registration is May 13, 2024. The exam will be conducted on June 09, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at various venues across India.
How to Apply for IISER 2024
Candidates can register for the exam on the official website. Follow the below steps.
Step 1- Go to the official website iiseradmission.in
Step 2– On the homepage, at the upper right side of the page, click on “Aptitude Test” option to access the dropdown. Here click on “IISER Aptitude test (IAT)” option to access the next step.
Step 3- On this page, read the details, and you can register by entering the required details. Pay the fee and take a printout of the application for future reference.
IISER 2024 Application Fees
- General, EWS, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories- INR 2000.
- PwD, Kashmiri Migrants (KM), and SC/ST category- INR 1000.

IISER 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be Indians or OCI or PIO to apply for this exam.
- Non-Indian nationals can apply through the JEE (Advanced) channel
- Students must have completed the 12th class in 2022 or 2024 from the Council of Boards of School Education in India, COBSE.
- Applicants must have had subjects in their 12th class such as Physics, Mathematics, and Biology.
- General category students must have 60% marks, whereas, SC/ST/ PwD candidates must have 55% marks.
IISER Exam 2024 Pattern
- The exam consists of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Total time for the test will be 180 minutes. It will be a multiple-choice answer question.
- Each correct answer awards 4 marks.
- Each wrong answer deducts 1 mark.
- Unanswered questions give no mark.
- The total mark will be 240.
