The college’s flagship program MBA is a program quite important for the college. The MBA program ended up with a record of 100% placements as a total of 464 students who took part in the placement drive secured 529 job offers that 194 companies offered.
“The consulting sector emerged as the top recruiter yet again with 167 students (31.6 percent) bagging offers. Accenture Strategy emerged as the top recruiter among the consulting sector which included firms like EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte, KPMG, Price Water house Coopers, Vector Consulting and Arthur D. Little, McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Kearney, amongst others,” – said IIM Calcutta.
The institute continues to drive major finance firms towards it and remains a campus that sends the greatest number of students. A total number of 114 students entered the marquee finance companies belonging to domains that include venture capital, investment banking, markets, asset wealth management domains, and private equity.
“Looking at the market conditions, we were ready for the long haul and focused on diversifying the recruiter base and building student resilience. We must say, the institute has been successful in this regard.” – said Nimruji Jammulamadaka, the Chairperson of the Placement Committee.
Some of the major firms that took part in the IIM Calcutta placement drive include- JP Morgan and Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, Barclays, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Bank of America, Arga, Avendus, Neo Asset & Wealth Management, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Ambit, Kotak Alternate Assets, Incred, Prime Ventures, Orios VP, Elevation Capital, O3 Capital, Innoven Capital, Premji Invest, and Gaja Capital.
This year in 2024 both new as well as established firms participated in the process. Technology companies and giants such as Microsoft, Navi, Arcesium, Media.Net, Uber, Angel One, HCL, Newgen, Zomato, Javis, and NPCI brought their offers for 88 students from the college.
While in the Marketing and General Management sector companies including ITC, Loreal, Proctor & Gamble, Dabur, Tata Administrative Services, Vedanta, Adani, Hinduja, Aditya Birla Group, Essar Group, JSW, and Reliance hired a huge number of 130 students.
