GATE 2025 Registration Dates Released Dates, Required Documents and More
GATE 2025 registration will start on August 24, 2024 and will end on September 26, 2024. Once the login window become active, eligible candidates can fill the application form on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

GATE is a national-level test that evaluates the comprehensive understanding of different engineering/ technology/ architecture/ science/ commerce/ arts/ humanities subjects and the exam will be conducted from February 1 to 16, 2025.

Steps to Register for GATE 2025

1. Go to the official website:

Visit the official webpage gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

2. Login and apply:

On the homepage, at the top section of the page click on “Applications” and from there click on “Apply Online” option to register and login to sign in.

Fill up the application, pay the fee, submit the documents and take a print out for future use.

 

Required Format for Documents Needed During GATE Registration 2025

Passport-Size Photograph in the White Background: Dimensions- 5 KB -200 KB. Size and Other Specifications- 3.5 cm Width × 4.5 cm Height with 60% – 70% of Face Coverage

Pixels Range from 240×320 – 480×640. Format- In JPEG or JPG format.

Signature in Running Handwriting: Dimensions- 5 KB -200 KB. Size and Other Specifications- Area of the Signature Should Cover 70- to 80% of the Image.

Pixels Range From 80×280 – 160×560. Sign with Black or Dark blue Color Ink Only. Format- In JPEG or JPG.

Photo ID Proof, Category Certificate If Applicable, PwD Certificate If Applicable, Certificate of Dyslexia– PDF Format

 

GATE Registration Fee 2025

Women Applicants: Normal Application Fee– INR 900. Late Application Fee- INR 1,400

SC/ ST/ PwD Applicants: Normal Application Fee- INR 900. Late Application Fee- INR 1,400

All Other Applicants Including International Students: Normal Application Fee- INR 1,800. Late Application Fee- INR 2,300

Documents Required for GATE 2024 Application

  • Clear and colored passport size photograph of the candidate with white background.
  • High quality image of candidate’s signature done by the candidate and with black or dark blue color ink only.
  • Copy of category certificate (SC, ST) in PDF format (if applicable).
  • Copy of scanned PwD certificate in the PDF format (if applicable).
  • Copy of scanned certificate of dyslexia in PDF format (if applicable).
  • Scanned copy of valid photo Identity document: Aadhar-UID (preferable)/ passport/ PAN card/ voter ID/ driving license.

 

Candidates must ensure that the unloaded documents are readable and clear. Submitting unreadable and unclear documents may result in delay in the application processing time, even it can lead to rejection.
