CBSE Notifies Schools About Free NCERT Online Courses on SWAYAM Portal for Class 11, 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education has taken an important step in the accessibility and enhancement of education by notifying schools about the free NCERT online courses on the SWAYAM portal for classes 11, and 12. This initiative offers access to high-quality educational material along with the NCERT syllabus. CBSE has informed the affiliated schools about the free National Council of Educational Research and Training, NCERT online course for classes 11 and 12 on the platform of Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds, SWAYAM.

The SWAYAM platform is introduced by the Ministry of Education, MoE, Government of India, which provides Massive Open Online Courses, MOOCs structured to elevate the learning techniques for students. NCERT is offering online programs for classes 11 and 12 that cover various subjects in multiple cycles.

In the 13^th cycle, there are 28 online courses for the classes 11 and 12. These programs cover 11 subjects that comprises Sociology, English, Psychology, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Economics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies, and Accountancy. The programs are available from April 22 to September 30, 2024. Registration for these courses is ongoing and students can apply before September 1, 2024.

Steps to Join NCERT Class 10, 12 SWAYAM Online Courses

Students have to visit the official website swayam.gov.in. Follow the below steps.

Step 1- Go to the official website https://swayam.gov.in.

Step 2– Scroll down on the page and under the “Explore Courses” section choose “School” option to get the learning content.

Step 3- Click on the content and click on “Join” from the upper left side of the page to access the login section. Here, enter username, password and click on “Sign in” to login to the account.

Step 4- If you need to register, click on “Don’t have an account? Sign up now” option to access the next step. Provide Username and new Password, Confirm New Password, Email Address and click on “Send verification code” option to get the code and upon entering it you can sign up and join the learning process.
