The recruitment drive is for the 1526 posts out of which 1283 positions are for the Head Constable (Ministerial) posts and 243 posts are for ASI (Stenographer) posts. The minimum eligibility of the candidates should be class 12 degree from a recognized board. The age limit for the exam is 18 to 25 years old.
BSF Recruitment 2024 Application Fee
The application fee is INR 100. Candidates belonging to reserved category and female students are exempted from the fee payment.
Candidates can pay the fee through Maestro, Debit Card, Visa, Master Card, RuPay Credit, Net Banking, and BHIM UPI.
Steps to Apply for BSF ASI, HC Posts 2024
Eligible candidates have to visit the official website. Follow the below steps.
1. Visit the official website:
Go to the official webpage rectt.bsf.gov.in.
2. Login with the candidate profile:
On the homepage, at the top right side of the page click on “Candidate Login” to access the next step. Enter the registered email, password, click the box to prove you are not a robot and click on “Login” to sign in.
3. Register as a candidate:
To register, click on “New Candidate Register Here” option to access the next step. Enter candidate’s name, mobile no, email Id and click on “Generate OTP” to complete the registration.
4. Reset the password:
If you cannot remember the password, click on “Forgot password” option to access the next section. Enter the registered email, click the box to prove you are not a robot and click on “Submit” to reset the password.
Pay the fee and download and keep a print out of the application for future reference.

Male: Height– 165 cm. Chest- 77-82 cm
Male (Hilly/ ST). Height– 162.5cm. Chest- 76-81 cm
Female. Height– 155 cm.
Female (Hilly/ ST). Height– 150 cm
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Male: Race- 1.6 Km Race in 6 Minutes 30 Seconds
Female: Race– 800 Meter Race in 4 Minutes 45 Seconds
