- This allows students to pursue postgraduate and research in statistics studies.
- To train research and postgraduate students with specific reference to processing & analysis, data collection, and other requirements.
- The internship aims to create awareness among students of economics, operations research, mathematical statistics, and statistics.
- To help students of Demography, economics, operations research, mathematical statistics, and statistics with their applied fields so they can choose their career in the statistics platform.
- The internship program has two categories, Group A and Group B.

How To Apply for MoSPI Internship Program
Interested candidates must visit the official portal, ncs.gov.in. Follow the below steps.
Step 1- Go to the official website ncs.gov.in
Step 2– Candidates must login and register with the account to apply for the internship. At the top right side of the page click on “Login” to access the next step.
Step 3– Enter username, password, security code and click on “Sign in” to complete the login process.
Step 4– If you are a new user, click on “New User? Sign up” to access the next section.
Step 5- Choose how to register as, enter the UID or unique identification type and follow the instructions to complete the registration.
The Duration of MoSPI Internship Program
The internship is for wo months from the joining date. Each intern must submit their report with a soft copy at the end of the assignment.
What is the Stipend of MoSPI Internship Program
The stipend of INR 10,000 and INR 5000 per month to be paid to selected interns. If an intern leaves the internship after two months, they will not get the stipend or the certificate. An intern will get a certificate only when they complete the internship.
Important Instructions
- The selected interns have to join and report to the concerned offices.
- No daily or travel allowances are paid by MoSPI.
- Interns have to make their arrangements for transport, boarding, and lodging.
