Despite the deployment of metal detectors at all WB HS 2025 exam centers, the candidate was caught with a mobile phone on the first day of the exam. Consequently, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education has cancelled the students' entire WB HS 2025 exam for the year. This incident brought the effectiveness of the current security measures into questions and raised concerns about the integrity of the WB HS 2025 exam process. Education authorities are now under pressure to improve and enforce stricter security protocol.
On the first day of WB HS 2025 exam 5,09,000 students appeared across 2,098 centres throughout west bengal. WBCHSE president Chiranjib Bhattacharya said that the Jadavpur university's student strike did not affect the HS exams, he also said, " The exams were conducted very peacefully and there were no significant complaints about the questions. Attendance was excellent at 95-99 percent". Priyadarshini Mallick the secretary of WBCHSE and Bhattacharya visited five centers in the North 24-Pargana. But a student from the Kamarhati High school was caught with a mobile phone near the end of the examination. Bhattacharya Stated, " We have an absolute zero tolerance policy for the mobile phones inside WB HS 2025 exam hall . The student's admit card and mobile phone were confiscated and their entire exam for this year is cancelled".
To enhance the security of question papers for the WB HS 2025 exam a new feature called "reverse jacket" is introduced. This feature is basically applicable in the WB HS 2025 exam question papers. Students had to cut a seal joining the first page and the last page to access the question. It is inspired by the method which is generally used in JEE, NEET and CUET examinations. This is a method which helps to reduce the chances of question leaks. Bhattacharya Also said , "The first page and last page were sealed together. If anyone attempted to open the questionpaper early and take the pictures, it would take time, which is preventing quick leaks. It is a standard feature for many competitive exams and we are using that as a deterrent".
The WB HS 2025 exam result for 2025 is expected to be announced in May. The expectation for the WB HS 2025 exam result is a high pass percentage, continuing the trend from previous years. Students can check their WB HS 2025 exam result on the official WBCHSE website and other result portals. The exam date and time will be announced closer to the release.
