Ans: CDS cut off is the bare minimum of qualifying scores required of applicants in order to advance to the next round of the selection process. This crucial threshold is determined by the UPSC, the conducting authority for the Combined Defence Services exam. The number of spots available for each course, the perceived difficulty of the test, and the aggregate performance of all test takers are some of the factors that affect the CDS cutoff. It's important to note that these cut off marks can differ not only for the various courses offered through the CDS exam but also potentially for different categories of candidates.
Ans: UPSC first creates a list of candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam. These candidates then proceed to the SSB interview, where they must also secure separate qualifying marks. The total scores earned in the written test and the SSB interview are combined to create the final CDS 2025 merit list. The ultimate selection of candidates is based on their position in this merit list, provided they meet the required medical fitness standards and there are vacancies available.
Ans: The SSB interview call-up details are sent to candidates who have passed the written CDS exam and selected the Army (IMA/OTA) as their first choice. They must sign up on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Those already registered on this portal do not need to register again.
